In the last Partner Meeting of Congatec, held in the German city of Salzburg, the leading company of industrial computing modules recognized Matrix Electronics for its sales, distribution and technical assistance with the “EMEA Sales Partner Gold 2016” award, thus rewarding its dedication and sales, consolidating Matrix Electronics as one of its main international partners.

In addition, the German company celebrated the 10 years working with Matrix with another recognition.

Berg Insight consulting includes Matrix Electronics as a prominent international M2M distributor

Matrix Electronics has been included by the Swedish consulting firm Berg Insight, specializes in market research in M2M / IoT (Internet of Things), as one of the international distributors of reference in the sale of M2M terminals, acknowledging the work and growth the company throughout his career as a benchmark in the industry of communication between devices.

Berg Insight also predicts that M2M terminal market will grow at an annual rate of 16.1 percent over the next five years to reach 5.7 million units in 2020.

In their study, Berg Insight concludes that in 2015 2.7 million M2M terminals were sold, with an approximate value of $ 550 million. America and Asia were the two main regions in terms of number of devices sold, each 0.95 million, while Europe is in third place with about 0.70 million devices. In terms of sales, North America represents a 265 million dollars.  Asia is the second region with 140 million and Europe is the third with 130 million dollars. This is because the average price in North America is higher thanks to a higher proportion of terminals 4G LTE Routers and Gateway, while the Asian market is based on the production of lower cost terminals and modems 2G.

You have now learnt about what is M2M and all the advantages can help in increase your business. You already have own equipment or has a proyect needing 2G–3G–4G connectiviy but you have not experience in the communication area and want to made easy the integration of your hardware and control it remotely and possibility the remote telemetry. Modules. Need small integration. You have some industrial PC or some embedded computer card (Matrix distributes the best ones) and just one miniPCIe card slot. Modems. This is the most simple and economic version. But the most suitable for many M2M applications. MTXM2M modems features JAVA programmability so you will NOT require to touch anything of your already hardware or software machine. Connect your machine using RS232, RS485 and sensors and the internal JAVA code will do everything for you. Just configure. 2G, 3G, GPS, internal battery and some other features will adapt to your scenario. Some sensors can be connected in wireless mode, using ISM free bands RF cards. Our MTX-IoT is one of the most flexible feature model in the market. Very small integration is needing, even less if you use our MTX-TUNNEL application.

Gateways. Many times, simple serial ports modems are not enouth. You need more power. Need more interfaces: Ethernet, Wifi, CAN, USB OTG an more serial ports. It has inside a Linux core and you can programm yourself in many languajes. 3G or 4G card is normally attached. We offer OEM, IP65 housing as well as compact mode.

Routers. A M2M router is the perfect choose if you want to save your time without any programming compared with Gateway.
